WELCOME

I have created this web-site to provide you quick and easy access to the most popular Gastroenterology sites and self help groups. You will also find a brief resume of the services I offer to private patients, a multitude of patient information sheets, power point presentations on a range of gastroenterology conditions and access to some of the research I have published.

I am a true Luminologists, with specialty knowledge of gastroenterology from mouth through to anus. I am experienced with many specialty procedures, not commonly performed by Gastroenterologists outside of the teaching hospitals. I have led from the top, as Clinical Lead for the Luton & Dunstable University Hospital, and now the Medical Advisory Committee Representative for Gastroenterology at the Spire Harpenden Hospital. I keep myself current with the latest medical literature and maintain a high research profile. I am known Nationally and Internationally for the innovative work I have done in developing new models of service provision for gastroenterology patients, utilising modern technologies.

OUR SERVICES

My Areas of Expertise

Oesophagus

If you are having problems with pain on swallowing, food getting stuck or burning pains in the chest, then I run one of the few Oesophageal (HRM) Laboratories outside of the teaching hospitals.

Stomach

If you are experiencing indigestion, pain and/or bloating in the upper abdomen then I have access to an Endoscopy Unit graded “Excellent” by the Clinical Qualities Commission.

Small Bowel

If you are suffering malabsorption, weight loss, pain or altered bowel habits, I  run a local Capsule Enteroscopy Unit and have a research interest in food allergies e.g. Coeliac Disease.

Colon

If you have suffered from a change if bowel habits, abdominal pain, bloating or blood loss, then I am an experienced colonoscopist with a research interest in inflammatory bowel disease.
